INVITATION – IMPACT project final conference - New ways of fighting the increasing number of forest pests
IMPACT, the EU Interreg IVA Project, has been assessing how forest pests are likely to respond to climate change and has been developing Integrated Pest Management programmes to combat those pests. Following our last conference in Dublin in 2013, a significant new body of work on important forest pests has been completed and this will be highlighted at our Final Conference in Bangor.
We will present details of the latest findings of the research teams from Forest Research in Wales (IMPACT coordinator), National University of Ireland Maynooth and Swansea University.
I hope you are able to join us in Bangor. Further details will be issued shortly but, in the meantime, please register your interest by email and also indicate whether you would be interested in making a presentation relevant to the conference theme (some limited slots are available for oral presentations and we also welcome poster presentations).
With best wishes,
Hugh Evans, Coordinator of IMPACT - Hugh.Evans@forestry.gsi.gov.uk
